1. What Courcast is

The Courcast platform is a set of anime services that share a single account:

• courcast.com is the main forecasting site. It pulls together public signals like search trends, streaming activity, and community engagement to produce a CourScore: a probability estimate of whether a series will get a continuation.
• lists.courcast.com is a list-tracking app for recording and organising your watch history.
• calendar.courcast.com is a seasonal calendar showing what is airing and what is coming up.
• auth.courcast.com handles sign-in for all three.

These terms apply to all of them.

2. Accepting these terms

Using any Courcast service means you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

3. Your account

Sign-in is handled by auth.courcast.com and is passwordless: you either request a magic link to your email address or connect an AniList or MyAnimeList account via OAuth. One account covers all Courcast services, and a single session cookie scoped to .courcast.com keeps you signed in across all of them.

You are responsible for keeping your email address and linked accounts secure. Do not share your account with anyone else, or use someone else's account without their permission. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us at [email protected] straight away.

You need to be at least 13 to use Courcast. If you are under 16 and based in the UK or EEA, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

4. Acceptable use

Courcast is for personal, non-commercial use. You must not:

• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from any Courcast service without prior written permission
• interfere with or disrupt any Courcast service or its infrastructure
• use any Courcast service to send spam or distribute malware or other harmful content
• impersonate another person or entity
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of Courcast's systems
• use any Courcast service for any unlawful purpose

5. Forecasts and disclaimers

CourScores are opinions and probabilistic estimates derived from publicly available data. They are not statements of fact. They are not predictions, guarantees, or insider information of any kind, and they are not financial advice, investment advice, or any other form of professional advice. Studios and rights holders make all renewal decisions independently; we have no relationship with them, no access to non-public information, and no influence over their decisions.

We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any CourScore or other content on the platform. You use them at your own risk and should not rely on them for any commercial, financial, or consequential decision.

6. Intellectual property

Everything we created on the Courcast platform, including the CourScore methodology, branding, design, and written content, belongs to us or our licensors. Anime titles, artwork, and related media belong to their respective rights holders; we reference them under fair use and fair dealing for commentary and information.

You own anything you contribute, such as list entries or other content. By contributing it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use it as part of the platform.

7. Service availability

We run Courcast on a best-efforts basis and do not guarantee it will be available at any particular time. We may change, suspend, or shut down any service at any time, and will try to give reasonable notice before doing so.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all liability for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, and punitive damages arising from your use of any Courcast service, however caused and whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise, even if we had been advised of the possibility of such damages. This covers, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, and service interruption.

Our total liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the platform is capped at the total amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. For users who have paid us nothing, that cap is zero.

Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Courcast and its operators, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the platform or your breach of these terms. We reserve the right to assume control of the defence of any claim for which we are entitled to indemnification, at our own expense.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will notify you by email or by a notice on the platform before changes take effect. Continuing to use any Courcast service after that means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the platform falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable or, if that is not possible, severed from these terms entirely. The remaining provisions continue in full force.

13. No waiver

If we do not enforce a provision of these terms on a particular occasion, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future. No waiver of any provision is effective unless made in writing.
