XReddit
The film centers on Shin and Kotori, who are both third years in high school. Shin lost his mother when he was little, and since then he has a tendency to close himself off. Kotori is his childhood friend who always looks out for him. One day, another "self" from another Japan appears in front of them.

Courcast score breakdown

CourScore weighs signals for an official sequel announcement within 18 months, blending attention velocity, completion strength, and catalogue health.

CourScore

17.6

CourScore measures renewal signals out of 100. It is not a calibrated probability of an official sequel announcement within 18 months.

Signal coverage: 100% • Signal freshness: High • Updated 10 hours ago

Top reasons

  • Reddit discussion momentum - 11 weekly Reddit threads, compared with current activity
  • Titles like this rarely return - 7 years with no new entry: of films (first entries) in that position, under 1% got a new season or film within 10 years
  • Time since finale - ~92 months since estimated air window ended
Runway
Anime original

This is an anime original, not an adaptation, so there is no source material to run down - renewal turns on sales and popularity rather than runway.
