Kimi to Boku (You and I) is the story of an aspiring mangaka and his cat, told from the cat's perspective. It follows the friendship between the cat and the young man from when they first meet up to when they must part.
Note: The first version was released to the public in 2001, since then there have been version upgrades, possibly with additional animation or simply improved quality. The English version also contains a prologue about the history of the Tanabata festival, making it much longer.

CourScore measures renewal signals out of 100. It is not a calibrated probability of an official sequel announcement within 18 months.

Top reasons
- Reddit discussion momentum - 100 weekly Reddit threads, compared with current activity
- Domestic episode engagement (Niconico) - 9,152,199 episode views on Niconico (JP domestic)
- Merchandise catalogue breadth (MFC) - 117 merch items catalogued (5 figures)
Runway
Anime original
This is an anime original, not an adaptation, so there is no source material to run down - renewal turns on sales and popularity rather than runway.
