The story takes place in a barren frontier where people trade goods with each other in order to help each other survive. The Kotobuki Squadron are bodyguards for hire, led by a strict but beautiful squadron leader, an unreliable commanding officer, and a true artisan of a crew chief. Alongside pilots who don't lack for personality, they take to the air in dogfights, letting the engine noise of their Hayabusa fighters ring out in the skies.

Courcast score breakdown
CourScore weighs signals for an official sequel announcement within 18 months, blending attention velocity, completion strength, and catalogue health.
CourScore
19.6
CourScore measures renewal signals out of 100. It is not a calibrated probability of an official sequel announcement within 18 months.

Top reasons
- Committee renewal track record - Lead committee members (GEMBA, BANDAI SPIRITS, Bandai Namco Entertainment…) have a smoothed catalogue continuation rate of 22%, above the catalogue average of 14%
- Committee collaboration history - Titles sharing at least two committee members: 8 of 20 have a catalogued successor (40%), compared with 14% across the catalogue
- Official social silence (negative signal) - Official JP account silent for 345 days
Runway
Anime original
This is an anime original, not an adaptation, so there is no source material to run down - renewal turns on sales and popularity rather than runway.
