The anime promises a "new and novel 'sleeping side-by-side' experience entirely in the first-person perspective" to "heal tired hearts." It revolved around 12 "makura no danshi" (pillow boys), all full of distinctly individual personalities and each catering to viewers who like a certain "type." The boys all live in the same town underneath a starry sky. Each of the "makura no danshi" will star his own weekly episode as they "sleep beside you and whisper."

Courcast score breakdown
CourScore weighs signals for an official sequel announcement within 18 months, blending attention velocity, completion strength, and catalogue health.
CourScore
14.5
CourScore measures renewal signals out of 100. It is not a calibrated probability of an official sequel announcement within 18 months.
Signal coverage: 100% • Signal freshness: High • Updated 15 hours ago
Top reasons
- Crunchyroll Like Index - 1,675 likes / 1,904 reactions on recent episodes
- Domestic episode engagement (Niconico) - 871,681 episode views on Niconico (JP domestic)
- Committee renewal track record - Lead committee members (Earth Star Entertainment, feel.) have a smoothed catalogue continuation rate of 17%, above the catalogue average of 14%
This is an anime original, not an adaptation, so there is no source material to run down - renewal turns on sales and popularity rather than runway.
