Popee the Clown, Popee the Performer, ポピーザぱフォーマー, POPEE the ぱフォーマー
The star of the show, Popee, is a clown in an odd red-striped jumpsuit and bunny ears. He is adept at juggling, being a clown, pulling large knives and small bombs out of thin air. He is not adept at ever succeeding in his nefarious plans to hurt his poor assistant or the owner of the circus. His mischievous nature is the driving force of each episode.

Courcast score breakdown
CourScore weighs signals for an official sequel announcement within 18 months, blending attention velocity, completion strength, and catalogue health.
CourScore
16.2
CourScore measures renewal signals out of 100. It is not a calibrated probability of an official sequel announcement within 18 months.
Signal coverage: 35% • Signal freshness: High • Updated 2 hours ago
Top reasons
- Committee renewal track record - Lead committee members (Kids Station, Nippon Columbia) have a smoothed catalogue continuation rate of 23%, above the catalogue average of 14%
- Titles like this rarely return - 26 years with no new entry: of short series (first entries) in that position, under 1% got a new season or film within 10 years
- New merchandise flow (MFC) - ~0.0 new merch items/month being catalogued
This is an anime original, not an adaptation, so there is no source material to run down - renewal turns on sales and popularity rather than runway.
