The Kunlun immortals want to seize the Qinglian Emperor Sword, but Qiu Wuyai stops them. Xu Changqing awakens his immortal spirit, the "Chaos Gathering Spirit Tablet," and is taken in as a disciple by Qiu Wuyai. In the Immortal Sword Competition, Xu Changqing defeats Xia Qinghou to win the crown and gains the qualification to enter the Kunlun Forbidden Land. In order to find the Fountain of Immortality that can revive his grandfather, Xu Changqing chooses to step into the perilous Kunlun Forbidden Land.
