Sumiko is a latch-key kid living in a suburb of Tokyo, where she is somewhat of a local celebrity. She is 8 year's old and dreams of becoming a famous singer some day. Her Mom works at a neighborhood ramen shop and Sumiko hangs out there a lot after school. Her Papa is a truck driver who is often away from home. However, when he is at home, she loves to accompany him to the local Karaoke box, where she can practice singing her favorite tunes.

Top reasons
- Committee renewal track record - Lead committee members (Opera House) have a smoothed catalogue continuation rate of 15%, above the catalogue average of 14%
- Titles like this rarely return - 12 years with no new entry: of short series (first entries) in that position, under 1% got a new season or film within 10 years
- Cross-platform audience rating - Weighted audience rating 20.0
Runway
Anime original
This is an anime original, not an adaptation, so there is no source material to run down - renewal turns on sales and popularity rather than runway.
